LOVE CUPCAKES? LOVE PARKES is the bold name of our very first outing as a united group of young individuals showing the LOVE of CHRIST to our town of Parkes! Also known as ONE!
Love Cupcakes? Love Parkes! came from one (perhaps joking!) suggestion by a young person at the launch of the ONE project in October 2011. It has expanded to become what will be the most exciting event to ever grace the streets of Parkes. Here’s how it’s going down:
Part 1:
Where? Parkes Baptist Church Hall
When? 7:00pm, Friday, 25th May 2012
Who? You, me, everyone.
How?
1. We get the cupcakes (made lovingly by some wonderful townsfolk!)
2. We ice the cupcakes (messy and fun!)
3. We pack the cupcakes in cool little individual sized boxes.
4. We write cool little individual messages on cards for each box. (Happy encouraging things like “You look GREAT today!” or “Don’t you just LOVE free stuff?”
Now for Part 2. You ready for it?
Where: Starting at Parkes Baptist Church
When: 10:00am, Saturday, 26th May 2012
What: Free Cupcakes FOR ALL!
How: Soooo glad you asked…
1. We set up stalls in three locations on Clarinda Street.
2. We give EVERYONE and ANYONE a cupcake. FOR FREE!
Why? Because who can say no to a cupcake?! Also, this is an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves to Parkes as a group and to show our town just how awesome our youth are.
Remember, this is YOUR movement! Get involved! Get your friends involved! Get your mum involved! Get your pet iguana involved! (probably don’t feed the iguana a cupcake, though.)

If you haven’t put in your order for a ONE baseball tee, tell me why? Tell me your excuses. Then when you’re finished, make sure you put in your order! Guys only $12, Girls only $15. Secondly, if you are under the age of 16, you will need your parent or caregiver to sign a Permisson Form for you to take part in the Free Cupcakes part of this event on Saturday, 26th May 2012.
